Our Policy on Safety

Rules of Safety as established by both the American Driving Society and the
Carriage Association of America are our guidelines.  We cannot emphasize them
  too much or too often.

Prior to driving with the club, you will be required to sign a waiver and a pre-drive
check list stating that your harness and carriage is in good working order,
that you are a safe driver and that your horse(s) is accustomed to group activities.

  EIA Compliance

Every equine participating in any Aiken Driving Club function must be
accompanied at the event by a negative Coggins test report, dated within
at least one year of the date of the activity.  Members are advised that
South Carolina law requires that the report ACCOMPANY the equine, meaning
that the report must be brought to the event.  Members will not be allowed
to participate without the Coggins report -- NO EXCEPTIONS.  Any member who
falsifies such documents will be dismissed from the club with no refund of dues.
