Founded in 1985 by the late Clifford S. Gerde, the
Aiken Driving Club has grown from a handful of drivers to a membership
of more than 130 individuals and families - and
still growing. Our drives are in the Hitchcock
Woods, Hopeland Farms, the Winter Colony
district and other private facilities in Aiken and the surrounding
counties. Social activities are almost always included with our monthly
meetings. In addition, we offer a variety of speakers and clinics to
continually educate our members and keep their interest in the sport
growing.
Whether your interest is in pleasure driving, combined driving,
recreational driving or just learning more about the
sport of carriage
driving, you are sure to make friends that share your interests when you
join the Aiken Driving Club.
